Sample Itinerary

This package is a 7 day/6 night tour combining some of our most popular locations.

 day 1

  • Your Armenian adventure begins with an evening departure from the United States, embarking on a journey towards Yerevan, the heart and soul of Armenia. Prepare for an unforgettable experience as you fly across the globe.

Day 4

  • Journey to Echmiadzin, the spiritual center of Armenia and the location of the Echmiadzin Cathedral, the mother church of the Armenian Apostolic Church. On the way back to Yerevan, stop by the ruins of the 7th-century Zvartnots Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Day 7

  • Visit the Areni wine region, famous for its millennia-old winemaking traditions. Enjoy a wine tasting session at a local winery before returning to Yerevan. The evening is free for you to explore more of Yerevan's vibrant dining scene.

Day 2

  • Welcome to Armenia! After arriving in Yerevan, you'll be greeted at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, acclimatizing to the new time zone, and perhaps take a gentle stroll around your hotel area to get your first taste of Armenian culture.

Day 5

  • Travel to the stunning Lake Sevan, known as the "Jewel of Armenia," and visit the Sevanavank Monastery on the peninsula. Continue to Dilijan, often referred to as the "Armenian Switzerland," and explore its historic district with beautifully preserved 19th-century architecture.

Day 8

  • Venture to the Garni Temple, the only Greco-Roman colonnaded building in Armenia and the former Soviet Union. Next, explore the Geghard Monastery, partially carved out of a mountain. Return to Yerevan for an evening at leisure.

Day 3

  • Start your day with a guided tour of Yerevan, one of the world's oldest continuously inhabited cities. Highlights include the Republic Square, the Cascade Complex, and the Matenadaran manuscript repository. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner at a traditional Armenian restaurant.

Day 6

  • Head to the south of Armenia to visit the Noravank Monastery, nestled within a breathtaking canyon. Then, experience the world's longest reversible aerial tramway to Tatev Monastery, offering stunning views of the Vorotan Gorge.

Touring Day 9/10

  • Enjoy a day at your own pace in Yerevan. You can visit the bustling Vernissage flea market for souvenirs, explore more museums, or relax in one of the city's many cafés. In the evening, join your group for a farewell dinner at a local restaurant.

  • Your tour concludes with a transfer to the airport for your return flight to the United States, taking home with you the memories and experiences of the rich culture, history, and natural beauty of Armenia.

Day 1

  • Begin your Armenian adventure with a comprehensive walking tour of Yerevan, the capital city rich in history and culture. Start from the iconic Republic Square, stroll through the Northern Avenue, and visit the Cascade Complex for panoramic views of the city against the backdrop of Mount Ararat. Explore the treasures of the Matenadaran, a repository of ancient manuscripts. Cap off the day with a visit to the vibrant Yerevan Vernissage, offering an array of traditional Armenian handicrafts.

Day 4

  • Head to Lake Sevan, the jewel of Armenia, known for its vast, tranquil waters and scenic surroundings. Visit the Sevanavank Monastery on the peninsula, offering stunning views of the lake and the surrounding landscapes. Continue to Dilijan, often referred to as the "Armenian Switzerland," for its lush forests and mineral springs. Explore the old town of Dilijan, with its preserved 19th-century buildings and the Dilijan National Park. After soaking in the natural beauty, return to Yerevan.

Day 2

•Depart Yerevan for Echmiadzin, the spiritual center of the Armenian Apostolic Church. Visit the Echmiadzin Cathedral, the oldest cathedral in the world, and witness the spiritual and architectural grandeur that has stood the test of time. On your way back, explore the Zvartnots Cathedral ruins, a UNESCO World Heritage site that offers a glimpse into Armenia's early Christian architecture. Return to Yerevan for the evening.

Day 5

  • On your final day, travel to the Khor Virap Monastery, located near the Turkish border, offering the closest view of Mount Ararat from Armenia. It’s a place of pilgrimage and a cornerstone of Armenian history and culture. Continue to the Noravank Monastery, nestled within a majestic gorge, known for its stunning Astvatsatsin church. Conclude the day with a visit to the Areni village, famous for its wine production. Enjoy a wine tasting session at a local winery, exploring the rich flavors of Armenian wines before returning to Yerevan.

Day 3

  • Venture to the Garni Gorge to see the Garni Temple, the only Greco-Roman colonnaded building in Armenia. Revel in the pagan temple’s architectural beauty and the surrounding landscape. Next, visit the Geghard Monastery, an architectural marvel partially carved out of a mountain. The monastery complex is known for its extraordinary medieval architecture and the serene atmosphere of its cliffside setting. Return to Yerevan after a day of exploring these ancient wonders.
